A quick and nutritious weekend breakfast featuring homemade turkey sausage patties. Made with lean turkey and a mix of aromatic herbs, this recipe offers bold flavor and wholesome ingredients that the whole family will enjoy.
1 lb Ground turkey (93% lean)
1 tsp Dried sage
1/2 tsp Dried thyme
1/4 tsp Dried rosemary, crushed
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp Pure maple syrup
1 tbsp Olive oil
In a large bowl, mix ground turkey with dried sage, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add pure maple syrup and combine until the seasoning is evenly distributed.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 4 inches wide and ½ inch thick.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook patties for 5–6 minutes on each side, until golden brown and no longer pink.
For a spicier version, add extra red pepper flakes.
Use honey as a substitute for maple syrup if preferred.
Store leftover patties in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for 2–3 months.
