Ingredients

Scale

1 lb salmon skinless fillets, cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
2 tbsp water
1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
2 tbsp green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Pat the salmon bite-sized pieces very dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, toss the salmon pieces with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Place the salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until golden and crispy.
While the salmon cooks, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, and water in a small pan over medium heat.
Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Toss the cooked salmon bites in the prepared honey garlic glaze.
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Ensure the salmon is patted completely dry before adding the cornstarch coating to achieve the best crispy texture. Use tamari instead of soy sauce for a gluten-free alternative. Maple syrup can be substituted for honey. Adjust ginger quantity to preference.
