Ingredients
2–3 tender steak cuts (sirloin, cube, or round), pounded to ¼-inch thickness
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1½ cups panko or seasoned breadcrumbs
½ cup vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
Crusty sandwich rolls or hoagie buns
Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, condiments of choice (mayo, mustard, sriracha mayo)
Instructions
1. Pound steak thin (¼ inch) between plastic wrap and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
2. Set up breading station: one dish with flour, one with eggs, one with breadcrumbs.
3. Dredge steak in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Press to adhere.
4. Heat oil (½ inch deep) in skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
5. Fry steaks 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Drain on wire rack or paper towels.
